There are many things people do to keep themselves off of drugs and bad influences of the world. I don't necessarily do any drugs, but there is one thing that actually helps me keep sane. This is the wonderful sport of running, any type of running, really. I like to spend a lot of my free time just running to places or a destination for a workout. Running is just an amazing hobby i learned about two years ago or so.
This sport or whatever you would like to call it helps me keep sane. It is such an amazing stress reliever. I like different types of running such as speed, distance, or both at the same time. My all time favorite is distance. I love to just go out at a nice comfortable sort of fast pace and keep running for miles. I especially love doing half marathons because they are usually quick and easy. Running more than 13 miles is a really big mental challenge for me, which i also LOVE to do!
I started running back in 2013 in the 9th grade during PE. I ran because I thought I was fat. Eventually, it became a stress reliever and I would run to get away from all of my problems that i had. It was sort of like my drug... but in a good, productive way. As of now, it irritates me a little that I can't run as much because I am injured. Yup, it sucks major butt. I am in Track & Field and Cross Country, but I am only training for mileage right now because of the upcoming LA Marathon! I want to conquer it and take a few weeks off after that and make a full recovery.

What I learned from "An Inconvenient Truth".
The world is filled with so many wonders as well as flaws. One of the many current flaws is global warming. Everyone should know what this is by now, the warming of the earth and how it affects it. Al Gore does an amazing job explaining the situation and showing many of the things that we can do with his documentary, "An Inconvenient Truth".
Before watching this film, I did not know how important it is to keep the earth safe from pollution and such. I found out that everything that we do on the earth will have a major consequence. The more we pollute the planet, the hotter it is going to get. Al Gore depicts the consequences of global warming in the future. The results do not look very satisfying to the eyes of the audiences.
One of the things that really hit me was the fact that the earth is heating up awfully fast. Every year we break records on temperatures. As the years are going by, the earth is not seeming to cool down, it is just getting hotter and hotter. If we continue with this, it is bound to end up tragically. Many regions of at different parts of the world will end up being flooded and population will have to give up once owned lands. This is because of the melting glaciers at the North and South pole (E.G Green Land, Antarctic). I believe that this is tragic and we should change the way we do things here on our mother planet. We have to support Mr. Gore on his journey to save the planet. It is our planet, we cannot afford to lose her and our lives.
